Liverpool City Council

Liverpool City Council is the governing body for the city of Liverpool in Merseyside, England. It consists of 90 councillors, three for each of the city's 30 wards.

 

The Foundation for Sport and the Arts The Foundation for Sport and the Arts

The Foundation for Sport and the Arts was established in 1991. We channel money donated by Littlewoods Gaming to a wide range of sporting and artistic causes. Since 1991 we have awarded grants worth over £350 million.

The Adventure Activities Licensing

The Adventure Activities Licensing Authority inspects activity centres and other activity providers on behalf of the Department of Education and Skills (DfES). If the Licensing Authority is satisfied that the provider complies with nationally accepted standards of good practice they issue a licence.

The Royal Yachting Association

The RYA is a UK membership organisation for recreational boat owners and crew with over 103,000 personal members. We fight unnecessary bureaucracy and threats to boating on behalf of these members and affiliates in the UK and abroad.

British Canoe UnionBritish Canoe Union      

Set up in 1936 to send a team to the Berlin Olympics, the BCU is the lead body for canoeing and kayaking in the UK. Since then the organisation has grown considerably.  

   


Local Clubs & Organisations

Mersey Rowing Club Mersey Rowing Club

Mersey Rowing Club are Liverpool's only open membership rowing club and are based a t Merseysport Watersports Centre, Queen's Dock.  Mersey are a welcoming, fun club of rowers and scullers, who row for recreation as well as for competition.   Our members include people of all ages, from all walks of life, which helps us to maintain a relaxed, unpretentious atmosphere.  Please visit our website by clicking on our logo,
